When I make pricing recommendations for buyers or sellers, I want the homes closest to the target in the comparison pool. Doing a comparison in the Vineyard, to take a home on Brookwood Forest (Sienna Woods) and make a pricing comparison to homes on Cabernet (Tuscany Hills), or Vienna (The Renaissance) would be ridiculous. Another pricing principal I use is time. A few years back, one could use sales of up to six (6) months ago. Now, I use sales from the past three (3) months, if available. There are other things to take into account to get a good fix on prices. If you are looking for additional help in this area, call me ...
The strike's goal was to rectify what was perceived as a historical injustice: The greatly diminished monetary compensation the writers got in comparison with the profits of the larger studios. It was targeted at the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), a trade organization representing the interests of 397 American film and television producers. The most influential of these are ten corporations: CBS (headed by Les Moonves ), MGM (headed by Harry E. Sloan), NBC Universal (headed by Jeffrey Zucker ), The Weinstein Company (headed by Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein ), Lionsgate (headed by Jon ...

Neil Patel claims he doesn’t know much about the world. “There’s only one thing I’m good at,” he says, “and that is getting traffic from Yahoo and Google.” It’s a peculiar skill, but it has definitely paid off. Patel taught himself the art of search engine optimization about nine years ago, after he had started his first company (at age 16). He has since co-founded a number of Internet marketing firms—including ACS, Crazy Egg, and KISSmetrics—and is one of the up-and-coming tech angel investors in Seattle. He has invested in a number of Web companies around town, and ... market research, surveys and trends

Challenges in Store for Household Products Firms
After weathering a significant downturn in consumer spending through 2008 and 2009, it would seem household and personal product firms would be poised for accelerated top-line and earnings growth. Unfortunately, this scenario isn't necessarily playing out and headwinds persist. Even though moderating input costs have benefitted consumer product gross margins recently, we expect input cost inflation to return as developing and emerging markets increase their demand for commodities. Additionally, sovereign debt issues in Europe could further dampen already weak Western European markets should austerity measures put any ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

The Strategic Way to Go to Market — HBS Working Knowledge
there any distribution system more poorly conceived than the one used by most U.S. car manufacturers and dealers? In the prevailing system, car prices are initially jacked up by locked-in labor concessions. Manufacturers pit dealers against other nearby dealers. Dealers are pressured to accept more vehicles than they can sell and—unable to make money from new cars—turn to service and trade-ins to eke out margins. And at the bottom of the chain are customers trapped in high-pressure negotiations for a car that isn't the exact model they want. That's the grim scenario painted by Harvard Business School ...

I'll answer with a few tactics I used for my web development agency. These have been effective for us, though I don't mean to say they'll work in every case and for every business. Our best source of clients/sales is through partners. We provide a fairly specific, yet highly demanded service (web development). However, we don't provide visual & interaction design services, because that is not our forte. As such, we've partnered with a handful of great design partners who, through demonstrating quality work & responsiveness, have chosen us as their primary (or at least one of the top) development ...
