One of the daily challenges for any sales warrior is trying to manage the position of the gatekeeper. These trained professionals a.k.a. “The Sales Prevention Team” are highly skilled at keeping us from sharing our incredible value with some of the most important business leaders in our territories. After much begging, pleading, cajoling, and water boarding (just kidding), one of our favorite gatekeepers agreed to share a small amount of her infinite wisdom on how we should treat those who stand between us and our decision makers. Having been a “hardcore” Gatekeeper for over 20 years, I have been asked many times, ...

The term itself does not strictly denote a clear winner in each case, though. Console wars generally do decide if a manufacturer continues in or abandons the industry. Due to different manufacturers releasing consoles at different times, the wars described below are not exact definitions and do not necessarily have firm beginning and ending dates. The presentation started with the company’s logo slide, then immediately we saw this: While the real version of the slide had very descriptive bullet points, the manner in which it ... market research, surveys and trends

Another factor also helped seal the deal: the taxpayer-backed bankruptcies of Chrysler and General Motors. "I just don't like the idea of our federal government doing that," Reed said. Interviews with some truck drivers, dealers and auto experts reveal that Reed is not alone. Pickup drivers are shifting to Ford trucks, in ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Do transformers toys sell more than Star Wars toys in the market ...
Toy giant Hasbro (HAS) used to bid against other toymakers for rights to sell toys based on hot movies. Now the tables are reversed, as some of the biggest movies this summer are coming right out of Hasbro's own toy chest. Case in point, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the latest installment of the Transformers franchise, which opens in theaters on June 24. Analysts believe the film from Paramount Pictures (VIA) and director Michael Bay could be even bigger than its 2007 predecessor, Transformers, which grossed $700 million worldwide at the box office. That movie also sold $480 million worth of toys for Hasbro, 13% of ...
