MEXICO CITY (Dow Jones)--Mexico Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero said Tuesday
that the government will seek to limit cash transactions in U.S. dollars as an
anti-money laundering measure aimed at combating organized crime.
Mexican banks receive more than $10 billion a year in suspicious dollar flows
in cash that can't be explained by normal economic activity, Cordero said at a
press conference.
