Technology Services Fee Considered For Next Fall
UC Berkeley students returning in fall 2010 may face a new campus fee that would fund bSpace and other campus technology services. A survey requesting student input on the proposed semester fee of $16 for undergraduates and $13 for graduate students is currently being circulated on bSpace. Already 2,400 survey responses have been compiled, according to Mara Hancock, campus director for educational technologies. The campus Course Materials Fee Committee-composed of students, faculty and staff-will meet March 3 to discuss the proposal and student input before issuing a recommendation to Chancellor Robert Birgeneau.
