May 20 was a busy day at Jensen Elementary. The students attended a character assembly on the pillars of caring and determination. They showed caring by selling healthy snacks to raise money for the Urbandale Caring Corps. We were able to raise $400. Students showed determination by hula hooping. They never gave up and continued to try. Even staff gave it a try. The evening of May 20, Jensen families came to school to enjoy Literacy Night at Thursday Night Fever. Students attended the book fair, received a free book, and learned about reading websites.
