The Fifth RTD Framework Programme differed considerably from its predecessors. It was conceived to help solve problems and to respond to major socio-economic challenges facing Europe. To maximise its impact, it focused on a limited number of research areas combining technological, industrial, economic, social and cultural aspects. Management procedures were streamlined with an emphasis on simplifying procedures and systematically involving key players in research. I have used both Norton and McAfee and they both seem to take over my PC's and are hard to configure so they don't slow the PC and go looking for updates randomly. So which do you use and why?? I'll just list them into free and paid lists. Free - 1) Avira - high detection rates - 99% (though some false positives), low memory usage and easy to use. 2) Avast - slightly lower rates than avira - 98% (and more false positives), has more features than avira though, uses slightly more memory than avira but that can be ignored. Sounds like you are getting how to make it user friendly, rather than what makes it user friendly. Note: GUI does not necessarily equal user friendly - I've seen a number of really bad GUI interfaces over the years. What makes it friendly? If you look at the differences in interfaces between applications when the term was first coined it was comparing console interfaces to graphical interfaces. So, a DOS box vs. a window.
