Telemarketing Laws | Telemarketing Resources
In the Western world today, the most unfortunate, hated people are probably the faceless telemarketers. One main reason for this is the fact that these telemarketers typically interrupt people at the most inopportune times, when either dinner is placed on the table or a parent is reading to his or her child. Because of such fact and the rapidly growing outsourced telemarketing, in which citizens in Western countries get some 16 billion sales calls each year, several telemarketing laws were passed and amended. These telemarketing laws, however, differ from state to state and from country to country. There are also some locales ... market research, surveys and trends

How the Government Subsidizes AARP - - HUMAN EVENTS
At the beginning of his second term in 2005, President Bush launched the most ambitious domestic initiative of his presidency: the reform of the financially strapped Social Security program through a system of private retirement accounts. This much-needed reform was premised on allowing workers to set aside 4 percent of the 12.4 percent Social Security payroll tax for private accounts. Dec. 24--AUSTIN -- Nonprofit groups with ties to law enforcement have your number and they're dialing it this Christmas. Some say the figures show that a Texas law regulating telephone solicitation by law-enforcement-related groups isn't working. "When your spending is upside down like that, you would have to ask yourself as a consumer, 'Are they a telemarketing organization or are they legitimately representing the ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

How to organize a successful membership drive for a non-profit ...
Sabri - it depends on a lot of factors. How old is the organization? What is the organization built around? Do you have a board who can help? Do you have a list to use for direct mail? Can you hold a local meeting with a speaker (and food) to attract non-members on campus or within your institution? There are a lot of different ways to go - all of them dependent on your organization, what their members are like, your budget, etc. Are you talking about ...
I hate my job, and I don't know what to switch to... how screwed ...
I need a new job, and I need one by the end of the year, because I'm very close to walking out of the one I have now. Help me, hive mind, as I'm at my wits end. What the hell can I do that's in Philadelphia, doesn't require a car, isn't sales, and pays around $30k? If you check my previous questions, you'll see that I've asked this thing before. At this point, though, it's getting dire. My needs are pretty damn specific, w/r/t pay, too, as I have student loans and other debt out the wazoo, as well as a $750/mo lease. I don't want to recap the ways my current job makes me hate myself ...
